Another thing is...Ever heard about Skirmishes?
This is probably the most basic form of Player vs Player available to any player in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Skirmishes consist of 1 on 1 (or group vs. group) combat that will see each side combat until one or both sides die, or run away. Because skirmishes are open world combat they do not follow any structured rule set. This means that players can attack a single opponent as a group (ganking) attack a gamer of a much lower level, or attack while another player is fighting a mob. Because there is no rule structure, we can and will do anything within their power to win the fight. It’s pretty fun. It’s maybe one of the most entertaining activity in WAR – I enjoy this kind of playing, but you must be strong enough to beat most of your enemies, or you will be ganked, kicked – you will lose many times. If you die few times, try to change tactics and attack your enemies from ambush, or join gank parties (roam party). You can earn a lot of needed Renown and this way get better and better gear (Annihilator, Conqueror, Invader, Warlord, Sovereign…and maybe more in the future!). I mean greater item sets.
Skirmishes can and will be fought for any reason – when you are bored or looking for more renown. Whether someone holds a grudge against another dude sees an opportunity where they hold the upper hand, or decides that they wish to Player vs Player at that moment, eventually every player will find themselves skirmishing in orange Player vs Player Zone. You must remember, because of the overall purpose of Player vs Player within Warhammer Online, winning a skirmish is helpful to your side of the conflict. With every kill in a skirmish a gamer earns victory points to aid realm and lock zone. This makes open world Player vs Player great, especially since the nature of skirmishes allow for the initiating to quickly and with little effort score victory points (VP) to win. What can I say more? Just play in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and seek out for more skirmish fun!
